VN II-100 Transporter, 4 tracks proto, 1952 from Kirov plant, St Petersburg. 48 t, T 10 tracks, ground pressure 0,48 kg/cm². Tests of mobility and maneuverability in Great North were conclusive. It led to four tracks Obkiet 279 in 1959, which is now at Kubinka Museum. |

Four tracks tank Obiekt 279 in 1959 was very unusual since the vehicle had 4 tracks but a rigid chassis. Ground pressure lowered to allow move in swamps and snow. Some problems of reliability in final gears and the lack of space inside the vehicle dropped the project which is now exposed at the Kubinka museum near Moscow. |
