Sno-Cat Prototype of Tucker Corporation, Medford, Oregon, about 1948 by Emmitt M. Tucker, Sr and his son was the first of a successful line of snow vehicles. Fitted with a rigid chassis, it turned its 4 tracks for steering. The tracks moved around pontoons but now they are made of rubber. Nowadays, 5 vehicles of the same principle are manufactured every 15 days with 33 employees.
