Lockheed Pacstar, 1965, articulated 12x12 was 450 kg payload for an equivalent empty mass and used Goodyear Terra-Tires. Built by Lockheed Aircraft Service Company, Sunnyvale, CA, several units could be linked. 35 hp, with together skid steering and articulation in yaw. Probably only one built. Sure-Trek proto articulated 8x8 built by Good Year Aerospace in late 60. It was sold by AMF : American Machine and Foundry Company, Pennsylvania, largest US recreational equipment company from 1943. AMF (American Machine and Foundry) Sure-Trek was a 8x8 articulated ATV whose about 300 copies were produced in 1969-70 in York, Pennsylvania. Gordon Fisher, who patented this nice vehicle in 1967, also created the Canadair Fisher CL 213 amphibious ATV in 1963-64. See chapter : Airoll.
