232 ONE OR TWO TRACKS RIGID VEHICLES LIGHT 5

MPV Flextrac of Finncat (1979-1987). This concept of snow-mobile allowed running on snow but also on any ground everywhere.The directional track was unique but unfortunately did not swarm. This documentation was sent by Anton Persson which owns a Flextrac. He writes : "The machine is supposed to run in water, I cannot confirm as my drain plug is broken and I bought mine during the winter so I haven't tested it yet. I'll come back as soon as I know. It does float though.

Reliability isn't great so to say, but I've seen worse. The vehicle is almost 30 years old so some leeway I have to give, but it has always been known to have a weak track with a tendency to get punctures from sticks. The Flextrac MPV with a Series 3 bogie somewhat amended this problem by reinforcing the track, with a different plastic I think.
Some other info:
There are 4 different bogie series. The two first one was used on the Finncat, whereas the first version of the bogie had the drive wheel inside the track instead of on top. The second and third one largely look the same but number three came with a different track length, stronger front suspension and better guide wheels so the track doesn't fall off. The series four had a completely different suspension setup and only one was made, I do know the guy who owns it so I can ask if he sends any pictures.
There were also three different chassis: The arctic version which I know had a compass and hand warmers, the military one that was white for camouflage (This is also the body of the experimental Series 4 bogie). The default red one (I own this one).
Another interesting fact is that most of the machines where bought by different kinds of militaries, especially USA for exploring the Arctic."
