The Claas Axion 900 tractor is characterized by its half-track concept, that is with tracks on the rear axle and wheels on the front axle. Contrary to what already exists on the market with triangular tracks, Claas opted for the Terra Trac flat tracks, inspired by those of its combine harvesters. With this solution, Claas can ensure the suspension of both axles. Indeed, the wheels of the track each have an independent suspension and the suspension of the front axle of the Axion 900 is preserved. The wheels of the track have openings on their rim to avoid getting bogged down on damp and loose floors. The Axion 900 Terra-Trac will be approved for 40 km / h. From 2017.
